Founded in 2003, IM.EX. SERVE SRL is an Italian company specialized in the development and distribution of steam cleaning technologies and professional car care solutions, with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and high-quality standards.
The company initially started exporting Italian-made steam cleaning equipment, mainly to the U.S. market, with the vision of offering an effective and eco-friendly cleaning method capable of saving water and significantly reducing the use of chemical detergents. Over the years, IM.EX. SERVE has expanded its expertise into the automotive sector, becoming a reference point in steam-based car wash solutions, detailing technologies, training services, and car protection systems, through its trademark ®.

Milestones & Company History


2003 – IM.EX. SERVE was established to export Italian-made steam cleaners, primarily to the U.S. market, promoting sustainable cleaning methods.
2008 – The company introduced steam cleaning technology into automotive exterior and interior care, developing the first electric steam equipment specifically designed for car detailing applications.
2011 – IM.EX. SERVE started commercializing steam cleaners dedicated to the car wash industry and launched professional training programs to transfer know-how and best practices to entrepreneurs and operators.
2013 – Development of the first line of highly biodegradable detergents specifically formulated for steambased interior and exterior car wash services.
2015 – Registration of the trademark DETTAGLIOAUTO® in Italy, with the objective of creating a structured franchise network combining products, equipment, and expertise.
In the same year, two patents were filed:

  • Patent No. 1421402 – Special support system designed to combine vacuum and steam units, ensuring better maneuverability for mobile detailing services.
  • Patent No. 1421719 – Integrated LED light on the steam gun handle to improve visibility during precision detailing and deep cleaning operations.

2017 – Achievement of ISO 9001 certification, confirming the company's commitment to quality management and continuous improvement.
2019 – Launch of the first strategic partnership in Saudi Arabia, marking the beginning of international expansion in the Middle East market.
2021 – Introduction of the DETTAGLIOAUTO® car care product line, expanding the offering beyond equipment into professional automotive cosmetic and maintenance products.
2023 – Expansion into advanced car protection solutions, including the launch of Paint Protection Film (PPF) services.
