With chemical-free and salt-free water conditioning devises is it possible to extend the life-span of washers, dishwashers, boilers, coffee machines and in general all the hydraulic and electric appliances provided with heat exchangers.
One of the main problem of these equipments comes from the limescale formation, preventing the formation means extend the appliances durability and at the same time reduce the maintenance and save cost.
Calcium and magnesium are dissolved in water in the form of bicarbonate; these and other salts are existent in cold water in liquid state and therefore are not harmful for our electric household appliances. Under water heating the bicarbonate separates itself from the water becoming calcium carbonate, the calcium changes from liquid into solid status and starts to deposit generating incrustation.

The above chart demonstrates that water not treated with a suitable system forms up a crystal (calcite) that causes hard and resistant incrustation. The Aragonite is not only less hard and with less specific weight but it also has a more stable crystal shape of minor dimensions and with far less possibility to join with other molecules. In addition the Aragonite is much more soluble in water than calcite (average 70% more water soluble). |

The MAIC technology works in 3 stages: - MAGNETIZATION: The energy generated by the permanent magnets causes molecular decomposition. - IONIZATION: The magnets are positioned in alternate polarity to break up the bicarbonate molecules, thus reducing them in shape and volume. - CATALYZATION: The catalytic induction fixes this transformation and keeps it more stable and durable even in presence of high temperatures or high water hardness.
The evolution brought by MAIC

The Italian law DM 443 issued by the Italian Ministry of Health regulates the installation and the use of the water treatment apparatus for human being usages and it gives very severe dispositions depending on the case of physical apparatus (like MAIC) or traditional chemical anti-scaling systems at polyphosphate salts or cationic resins.
- Water softener apparatus must
have an automatic
rechargeable device. This is not required for physical apparatus
